What is Steel Pickling?
Our hot rolled steel pickling treatments can remove impurities, rust, and scale from a material’s surface. Prior to being cold rolled, hot rolled steel is frequently pickled. Ideal corrosion resistance is restored with the aid of this service. The material becomes smoother and simpler to draw on as a result.
Maxsteel Pickle Line
The pickling line for Maxsteel is situated in Mississauga, Canada. Early in 2020, some sections of the line underwent upgrades in order to better serve our esteemed clients. The mechanical pitting was eliminated, the edge-to-edge dryness was improved (preventing pooling in the centre), and the foundation levelling was improved. The latter facilitates better coil threading.
Parsytec
Defects down the coil are recorded using our sophisticated coil monitoring system, Parsytec. The data is then compiled into a report that is executed on each coil in the line. On demand, customers can ask for full access to these reports.
