Standard Beams
A steel shape known as Standard I-beam is a type of steel shape. The web and horizontal symmetrical flanges on both sides of the web, which together form an H-shaped cross-section, are the constituents of the beam. Shape (narrow-flange, normal, wide-flange, and column type), fabrication process (rolled, welded, riveted, or cold-formed), design (common or light), application (generic or industry-specific), and other characteristics characterize Standard I-beams.
